After success in 2016 in China, the Bulgarian Association of Exporters of Wines continues with an extremely intense program and in the current 2017 in the most important Asian wine market.

This year BAVA will focus on seminars and sales promotions in the cities of Hefei, Nanjing and Yuhan in order to reach as many traders, distributors and end users as possible. This is part of the Association’s strategy, which works to promote local wine. Expectations are that only the organized seminars and tastings will be attended by more than 2000 traders.

The events were organized by China Wine Business after the organization’s director Eddie Wong visited the country in June 2017.
Four seminars are planned, one at Hefei and Nanjing and two at Guangzhou.
In addition to the seminars, BAEA will also carry out a business mission with selected traders, importers and distributors, to be attended by members of the Association to position the wines of New Wines of Ancient Thrace in these cities.

New Wines of Ancient Thrace The well kept secret

Bulgarian Wine Export Association (BWEA) is launching at the end of May series of events under the name of its promotional program New Wines of Ancient Thrace.
The most important and largest market, both in volume and value in the world – the US market will be in focus of the promotional campaign of BWEA. More than 1,500 trade professionals, directors of companies for wine and spirits import will visit Houston and will be able to taste the wines of New Wines of Ancient Thrace.
The wines of New Wines of Ancient Thrace can be tasted with series of several workshops that will take place in Houston – a very important wine market, occupying sixth place in wine consumption in the US after Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
Consumption per capita in Houston grows and last year have reached 16 liters. Compared with the wine consumption per capita in Europe and especially in France and Italy, where it equals an average of 45 liters, there is a big opportunity for growth.
BWEA will present in Houston wines from local varieties – Mavrud, Melnik, Muscat, etc., which impress with their high quality and organoleptic characteristics and reflect the terroir of the region from which they originate.
The events will attract importers, top distributors, one of the most important national retailers, media, representatives of large supermarket chains, restaurant owners and wine professionals and amateurs from Houston.
Subsequent events in the program of the New Wines of Ancient Thrace will be the sales promotions in Houston, as well as participation at wine show in Houston in early June. This will be the second presentation of the wines of New Wines of Ancient Thrace in Texas and they are expected again with great interest.

New Wines of Ancient Thrace Launches commercial promotions in Houston, Тexas

Following the successful presentation of last year’s partciipation of New Wines of Ancient Thrace in Houston, Texas, the Bulgarian Wine Export Association takes a new step towards American consumers with the trade tastings of our wines in America.

For four days the wines of New Wines of ancient Thrace from both local and varieties and international varieties will be tasted. The focus will be on the wines from the Mavrud and Melnik varieties, which were most popular in last year’s show in Houston.

The New Wines of Ancient Thrace campaign will target both end-consumers and wine specialists with whom BWEA has built a very good relationship in 2016.

The main focus of the trade promotions will be to highlight the qualities of PDO / PGI / Varietal wines because these names guarantee excellent organoleptic characteristics, determined by the specifics of the regions, climatic conditions, soil, terroir and atmospheric conditions.

All visitors to the promotions can participate in the tasting where they can win a bottle of wine.

New Wines of Ancient Thrace is a promotional campaign of the Bulgarian Wine Export (BWEA), established in 2012 with the main purpose of actively presenting wines with Protected Geographical Indication and Protected Designation of Origin as well as variety wines on new strategic markets. The main activities of the association are wine promotion, organization of conferences, workshops and seminars with promotional and information purposes, support for increasing wine exports through the creation and management of projects funded by EU funds, stepping up some of the most important World wine markets, as well as focusing on the new modern face of the wines of Ancient Thrace.

Trade promotions in Shanghai

Bulgarian Wine Export Association will start on April 1 trade promotions at Vanca’s restaurant – Shanghai.
The purpose of this action is to promote the wines with PDO / PGI / and varietal wines through active sampeling, distribution of promotional materials, tastings and more. The trade promotions will offer customers incentives for making purchases by the messages they transmit, based on the existing identity and personal respect to product-promotion.

Trade promotions in Tokyo

Bulgarian Wine Export Association will start on April 6 trade promotions at Sofia restaurant – Tokyo.
The purpose of this action is to promote the wines with PDO / PGI / and varietal wines through active sampeling, distribution of promotional materials, tastings and more. The trade promotions will offer customers incentives for making purchases by the messages they transmit, based on the existing identity and personal respect to product-promotion.

New Wines of Ancient Thrace Launched a promotional campaign in Japan

After success in the US and China, Bulgarian Wine Export Association launches its promotional campaign in Japan. The program of BWEA includes seminars, business mission and participation in one of the most important exhibitions in the country of the rising sun – Wine & Gourmet Japan 2017.
Wine & Gourmet Japan is an international trade fair for wine and gourmet foods, accessories and services for hotels and restaurants. This is the only trade fair and business platform in Japan that deals with wine and spirits, but also offers equipment and accessories for hotels and restaurants. Hundreds of brands of wine are presented and introduced each year on the market thanks to this unique show. Wine & Gourmet Japan is held annually in Tokyo and attracts trade visitors for food, beverage, wine and spirits, including importers, wholesalers, retailers, hotels, restaurants and catering companies. New Wines of Ancient Thrace will be actively involved in numerous tastings and product presentations, seminars and lectures scheduled throughout the exhibition, which will be held from 12 to 14 April 2017 in Tokyo.

NEW WINES OF ANCIENT THRACE Will show their wine elixirs in the most important Asian exhibitions ProWine Shanghai (7-9 November 2016) & Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair from 10 to 12 November 2016

The most successful wine fair in Hong Kong is undoubtedly Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, which this year will be held between 10 and 12 November. The exhibition attracted 20 000 traders from 75 countries in 2015 and more than 1060 exhibitors from 32 countries.
For retailers of wine and spirits, Hong Kong provides the perfect platform for trading as a free zone representing a logistics center from which can benefit all companies , which are interested not only in China but in whole Asia.
The role of Hong Kong as a wine center, which is extremely important for the marketing of wine in Asia, and that you may be seen from the following figures for 2015: total imports of wine increased by 20.9% in volume terms and 27.6% in value.
Another very successful wine fairs in China is undoubtedly ProWine Shanghai. ProWein Düsseldorf is held every year in March and is rated as the number one wine fair in the world. As a direct continuation of this significant event is the exhibition in Shanghai, which gathers every year more than 10,000 merchants around the world, especially from Asia. EXPO 2015 has attracted 25 percent more visitors than 2014, as a success for this are the efforts of the organizers of the exhibition are promotion in all cities of China.

New Wines of Ancient Thrace launched their promotional campaign in Houston, Texas, USA

On 8th of June, 2016 New Wines of Ancient Thrace kicked off their first promotional campaign in the US with the trade tasting at Masraff’s restaurant, downtown Houston. The event attracted importers, distributors, major retailers, media, supermarkets and restaurant owners, wine professionals from the large Houston area. Several events were included in the program of the wineries’ representatives who believe that the wine business and the wine loving audience in Houston will be thrilled by the new wines, coming in this growing wine market. The major trade seminar of the promo campaign was held at Marriott Waterway Hotel in The Woodlands banquet room.
